I am a College Advising Specialist with a certificate from UC Berkeley and the Founder of Positive Outcome, a service that provides personalized guided paths to college.

About Me:

I began advising college applicants on a part-time basis in 2009, and since then I’ve had much success mentoring clients. My clients have all been accepted at multiple universities, many with scholarships. In 2015, I decided to leave my teaching position as a Lecturer in the English department at a California state university to start Positive Outcome and be a full-time College Advising Specialist. My undergraduate and graduate degrees are both in English literature, and I earned a certificate in college and career advising from UC Berkeley. I have extensive experience teaching composition, English literature, public speaking, and being a writing tutor for over twenty years. My professional and educational background enhance my understanding of the nuances of the college application process. Working with clients who are applying to undergraduate or graduate programs fulfills me greatly because I know that my positive approach and professionalism lead applicants to their desired outcome.
